Admission Pathways via IMU CET
Securing admission into premier Indian Maritime University campuses and top-tier affiliated institutes involves three primary streams:
- Undergraduate Marine Engineering & Technology (4-Year B.Tech): Covers Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering. Admission is strictly rank-based via IMU CET score, followed by centralized online counseling.
- Nautical Science Stream (3-Year B.Sc. Nautical Science / 1-Year DNS): Leads directly to deck officer roles. For the Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS), candidates must obtain a Company Sponsorship from a recognized shipping company (e.g., Synergy, Anglo-Eastern, Fleet Management) before or alongside clearing IMU CET.
- Postgraduate & Research Programs (M.Tech / MBA / Ph.D.): Specialized entry into Port & Shipping Management, International Transportation, and Naval Architecture for engineering graduates.
